Introduction:
This 20-pin SFP female receptacle mounts directly onto the host PCB to provide the internal electrical interface for standard transceivers. It operates inside external SFC series shielding cages, which supply mechanical alignment and EMI shielding around the port. Copper alloy contact terminals feature 15u” gold plating to prevent surface fretting corrosion and maintain low contact resistance over repeated mating cycles. The housing is molded from high-temperature UL 94V-0 thermoplastic, maintaining dimensional stability during automated SMT reflow soldering. SMT solder tails ensure coplanarity and reliable solder fillet inspection on host boards. This receptacle is suitable for optical transceiver host boards, Ethernet switches, and enterprise routers.
