Introduction:
This 20-pin SMT SFP module port connector mounts directly onto host PCBs to interface with standard transceivers. It operates inside SFC series shielding cages, which provide mechanical guidance and external port shielding. Integrated metal grounding hold-down tabs anchor to the PCB, enhancing structural retention and establishing a direct chassis ground path. The phosphor bronze contact terminals feature 15u” gold plating over nickel to prevent oxidation and sustain low contact resistance. High-temperature UL 94V-0 thermoplastic houses the contacts and withstands automated reflow soldering without distortion. Delivered in tape-and-reel packaging, this connector supports high-speed pick-and-place manufacturing. Operating from -40°C to +85°C, it suits Ethernet switches, optical transceivers, and enterprise routers.
