This 20-pin SFP module host connector mounts directly onto system PCBs to provide the internal 20-circuit mating interface for standard pluggable transceivers. It is designed to operate inside external SFC series shielding cages, which provide mechanical alignment and EMI shielding around the port. The copper alloy contacts feature a gold flash finish over a nickel underplate, protecting mating surfaces against oxidation while maintaining low contact resistance. Molded from high-temperature UL 94V-0 thermoplastic, the insulating housing resists warping during SMT reflow soldering. Surface-mount leads deliver uniform coplanarity for reliable solder joint inspection on host pads. Supporting an extended temperature range from -55°C to +85°C, this cost-effective receptacle suits optical transceivers, network interface cards, and edge Ethernet switches.
