Introduction:
This 2×6 stacked multi-port SFP cage connector consolidates twelve transceiver bays into a bi-level architecture to optimize faceplate real estate on host networking cards. Built as an integrated combo unit, it incorporates internal mating receptacles directly within a copper alloy cage, eliminating secondary connector soldering. Robust copper alloy contacts housed in high-temperature UL 94V-0 thermoplastic maintain electrical conductivity through multiple mating cycles. Integrated EMI spring fingers establish ground contact against chassis cutouts to suppress electromagnetic radiation. Solderless press-fit pins anchor firmly into PCB vias, providing mechanical retention without thermal exposure. This twelve-port assembly supports enterprise switches, core telecom routers, and high-density optical distribution shelves.
