Introduction:
This SFP cage provides a single-port (1×1) shielding enclosure designed for through-hole solder PCB mounting. Formed from corrosion-resistant copper-nickel alloy, the metal cage delivers physical rigidity and long-term grounding continuity. Built with integrated nickel-plated copper alloy EMI spring fingers around the front bezel, it establishes 360-degree contact with the chassis panel, containing electromagnetic radiation and suppressing high-frequency noise. The through-hole solder tails ensure solid mechanical anchoring on the host circuit board, operating reliably across industrial temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. Engineered to mate with SFF-20 series 20-pin SMT connectors, it accommodates standard optical and copper SFP transceiver modules. Common applications include gigabit Ethernet switches, media converters, telecom edge routers, and industrial automation gateways.
